Join us for an open mic evening of spoken word hosted by Sohn Fine Art’s artist, Pops Peterson. Spoken Word is a performance-based art form focusing on the aesthetics of wordplay, rhythm, and intonation to convey meaning, often addressing social justice, personal identity, and politics. It is "poetry for the stage" rather than the page. Poetry and short stories are welcome, as well as spoken word that combine elements of theater, jazz, and hip-hop. Sign up at 6:30, event starts at 7:00.
