DENISE B. CHANDLER
Denise B Chandler (Brazie) is a fine art photographer who in recent years has had her work exhibited at The Berkshire Museum, Sohn Fine Art Gallery, Lichtenstein Center for the Arts , IS▪183 Art School of the Berkshires, St. Francis Gallery, Chesterwood and The Whitney Center for the Arts.
In 2012, Chandler completed a summer residency program in photography at Maine Media Workshops & College. While in Maine she was guided and encouraged and had her work critiqued by renowned photographers Michael Wilson, Andrea Modica, Peter Ralston, Arthur Meyerson, David Turner, Brenton Hamilton, David Wells, and Syl Arena. In the fall of 2012, Chandler completed workshops/lectures with Bobbi Lane and Seth Resnick. Chandler continued her formal workshop training with master portrait and celebrity photographer, Greg Gorman, in 2013.
In 2013, Chandler won the People’s Choice Award at Sohn Fine Art’s 2nd Annual Community Arts Exhibition for her "Dancing Poppy." Chandler also won the 1st Place Student Award and 1st Place People’s Choice Award win for her "From the Little Shop of Horrors" in 2012. Chandler is an active member of the Berkshire Museum Camera Club and will be serving as Vice President of the club in the 2013-2014 year. She is a lifelong resident of Lenox, Massachusetts and shares her home with her husband, Richard, and their three English Springer Spaniels on New Lenox Road. She has an Associate’s Degree from Berkshire Community College in Selected Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts in Human Resource Administration.
