Amiel Gervers is a freelance commercial and fine art photographer based in Santa Fe, NM. She moved to New York at 17 to study at Pratt Institute, where she received her degree in Graphic Design and Photography. For more than a decade Gervers worked as a Creative Director and Art Director for leading advertising agencies in New York, such as Draft FCB, Euro RSCG Life, Saatchi & Saatchi and MDC Advertising, while simultaneously heading her own company, Seven Senses Photography & Design. After many adventures photographing on six continents, she recently returned to her roots in Santa Fe, NM.
At a very early age Gervers knew that her life would revolve around creative expression. Her work is passionate and visceral. Through spontaneous and dynamic composition, she captures the natural essence of each subject, focusing on the underlying depth of everyday elements.
Gerver’s East Coast debut was a 30 piece solo show from her travels around the world at the Sub Electric Gallery in Washington DC. Over the last six years she has exhibited her fine art and travel photography at BWAC (Brooklyn Waterfront Artist’s Coalition), Brooklyn NY, and The Monroe Arts Center, Hoboken NJ. She has contributed to group shows at Sohn Fine Art Gallery, the Berkshire Botanic Gardens, and Cranwell Resort in the Berkshires, MA. She recently presented a slide lecture on the Island of Sark, in the British Channel Islands at The Travel Bug in Santa Fe.
