Represented by Sohn Fine Art, artist John Clarke opens his studio to the public for a behind-the-scenes view of his process, materials and works in progress.
Over the past five years, Clarke has been combining drawing, painting and photography to create large, one-of-a-kind pieces that live somewhere between photographic reality and the subjective world of abstraction.
John Clarke's open studio event is in collaboration with Sohn Fine Art and part of ArtWeek Berkshires, a county-wide celebration of the arts running September 16-26th that brings art, music, dance, theater, craft, writing, film, and more to residents and visitors of the Berkshires. ArtWeek Berkshires is a collaboration of the five Cultural Districts in Berkshire County: Downtown Great Barrington, Lenox, North Adams, Pittsfield (Upstreet Cultural District), and Williamstown.
